Guide to using Online BabySign

Little Signers Club 'Online Babysign' has been developed to help you to start signing with your little one quickly and simply.

There is nothing complicated about using our programmes but there are ways in which you can increase the enjoyment and success that you have in using signing with your baby.

You may find it useful to read through the following pages:

The signs selected for our different programmes are those that we know are the most useful for parents and carers.  They don't reflect all the signs that you may need or want but they are a very good start.  The signs that we have chosen ensure that your child's basic needs can be met and other interests, such as animals and transport, can be accomodated.

The videos themselves are British Sign Language but other variations of signs, easier for a young child to use, have been offered if you would like to use them.  You will find that some signs have additional notes about what babies may do when they start using those signs, so that you know what to look for.

Little Signers Club 'Online BabySign' has been designed so that you can watch the videos and then put them into practice with our tips and notes.

If you have other questions that you would like to ask, then please do contact us for expert advice.

Using baby signing is ultimately about a combination of factors - communication, motor skills, bonding and most importantly, fun!  There will be some children for whom signing becomes a very necessary part of their lives but for the majority of little ones, this will be something that they drop as their speech becomes more advanced.

At the very least you will have a great deal of fun using the Little Signers Club 'Online BabySign' programmes.  But, with a little effort, we'll guarantee that you will gain a confident, more communicative child who can let you know what they need calmly and without tantrums.
